On a walk I had to verbalize, you Lord have not ever once let us fall – in all the times we have looked at circumstances and had worry, fear – not ever once can I say you let us down. You have surprised, but always we have come through. That is a remarkable thing. I can remember wants and needs but I can’t think of a time that it didn’t all end well – not my way always but certainly by your hand. Tricky again as I look/see with natural, think in natural, but I know whatever, it will be ok, good and I’ll know it was by your hand. It continues to be a stretch to my common sense. Give me your uncommon sense.
When I was young, it became popular for peers to say I didn’t have common sense. It was a criticism and it stung. Now I see it as your gene – thumbprint – to give me uncommon sense. To trust you and be blind to the circumstances – eyes on you.
Thank you, Lord, for your magnificent ways. Thank you for your brilliant, creative ways to display yourself – show us your glory Lord – new, different, fresh, reveal yourself again Lord. Thank you, Lord, for your gifts – amazing grace.
