God (G) – This is my book not yours – are you ok with that?
Beth (B) – Absolutely
G – You trust me?
B – Yes Lord
G – Ok – then just step and let me guide
B – Ok Lord
Well Lord, here I am. I have absolutely no idea how to write a book. The buzzer buzzes on the dryer and yet I sit, right here with you. I don’t know who this is for, though I know you promised you wouldn’t waste anything. You want to use my testimony to encourage others and draw them to you, the you I have come to know, the good, good daddy.
So Lord, I say yes to your today plan for my first step. I see the toddling little girl, arms out, walking side to side like Frankenstein, with a big gleeful, joyful smile. That is me coming to you, arms wide open Lord, and knowing full well that you can see, you know, and you are with me and waiting like a gentleman for me to sit, listen, be still and know I AM and let you do what only you can do. Thank you, Lord. So Lord, Yes, let’s do this!
Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for choosing to partner WITH me for your heart’s desire to be known fully by your kids. Thank you for showing your light through me. Thank you, Lord. What is on your heart Lord? I haven’t asked in so long with my pen steady Lord.
G – I see ping pong game and playing with you. I hit; you return. It’s a team thing. Together we are on this adventure.
B – Lord, what do you see?
G – You can do this with me. Just start. WE will be done with perfection and striving, and we will be all about listening, leaning in and relying on me. My timing is perfect. This is not heavy lifting, this is be still and know I am God, I AM and this is my heart for you.
B – Where to start?
G – Let’s start with my words, my deposits, my revelations. Don’t worry about setups, intros, explanations. Let’s just start with me.
B – Where Lord?
G – Let’s see. Why don’t you start with…
B – Scripture?
G – Let’s just find a tender place that I spoke. I want people to know my words to you and don’t worry about the unique relationship explanation right now. Yes, it is ok to rewrite. Nothing is wasted. I want you to see my words to you too. Orange journal is fine. What’s the last thing I said to you?
B – Scripture. Reworded?
G – Yes. Show them.
Luke 10:41-42
“Beth, Beth,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. You have chosen what is better and it will not be taken away from you.”
Psalm 23:4b
For you are (always!) with me!
G – I have it covered.
B – I know Lord. Thank you. You are the very, very best Daddy.
