Proverbs 3:5-6 (TPT) Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, (footnote: We should always be willing to listen to correction and instruction.)
God (G) – Yes!! You have got it – well done – (Beth- I heard “do” in verse 5 and I think God correcting to “I do”) listen, rest
Beth (B) – Yes Lord – Keep showing me your impeccable, restful way.
Proverbs 3:11-18 (TPT) My child, when the Lord God speaks to you, never take his words lightly, and never be upset when he corrects you. For the Father’s discipline comes only from his passionate love and pleasure for you. Even when it seems like his correction is harsh, it’s still better than any father on earth gives to his child. Those who find true wisdom obtain the tools for understanding, The proper way to live, for they will have a fountain of blessing pouring into their lives. To gain the riches of wisdom is far greater than gaining the wealth of the world. As wisdom increases, a great treasure is imparted, greater than many bars of refined gold. It is a more valuable commodity than gold and gemstones, for there is nothing you desire that could compare to her. Wisdom extends to you long life in one hand and wealth and promotion in the other. Out of her mouth flows righteousness, and her words release both law and mercy. The ways of wisdom are sweet, always drawing you into the place of wholeness. Seeking for her brings the discovery of untold blessing, for she is the healing tree of life to those who taste her fruits.
G – What if my measuring stick is totally different?
B – I know it is Lord – what?
G – Are you willing to lay yours down and follow me?
B – Yes Lord.
G – Whatever it looks like?
B – Yes Lord.
G – Whatever comes?
B – Yes Lord – I know you are good and I know you love me and I know whatever plans you have for me are on purpose and not an accident – so yes Lord, you know better than I do – whatever it looks like, I know you know better – help me to lay down – All for you – to be with you – not tugging, grasping, clamping down but releasing, surrendering and letting go – all Lord.
G – It is well sweet girl – you have chosen well – watch and see, really see me – today and tomorrow – each day – choose to see me – I want to be seen – I want you to see me and declare what you see – the truth – the peace – the love – the rocks crying out – they see and know – choose me.
B – Yes Lord.
Seeing (in my minds eye) wings, doves, flapping, rising, white and light sky – warm and creamy and peaceful – yes Lord.
First to you Lord – what?
G – The free flight, the unencumbered freedom, the gentle movement, the wind/currents that lift and hold – unseen yet strong, resilient, the beauty – nothing you can buy, design, acquire – I created – and it is stunning –
B – Yes Lord.
Hosea 11:11 “They will come trembling like birds from Egypt, like doves from Assyria. I will settle them in their homes,” declares the Lord.
