Today reading My Utmost for His Highest, “ It is not only wrong to worry, it is infidelity, because worrying means that we do not think that God can look after the practical details of our lives, and it is never anything else that worries us.”
What does unhinged (this word is unusual so feels like Holy Spirit and looking up the literal meaning is the door off the hinge, wide open, so my meaning is super duper, extreme) fidelity look like? Messy? No, you aren’t a God of Messy but yes you are God IN messy. I’m seeing myself – a girl, eyes on Daddy, mess everywhere, but the truth is the truth, eyes settled – not darting, not fleeting, settled on you Lord.
I am reflecting on arriving at church today and sharing an encouraging few words with a gal, and thinking on so many times many years ago that I was arriving in church uptight and angry. We would have fights and time issues and angst on our way and then I would arrive for worship repenting and feeling awful. I’m seeing you now in the rest, peace, trust – even when the time is short, running late, whatever – it doesn’t draw me in. I want to stay with you. I want to always be lingering – remembering the dove on my shoulder.
My unbuckled list of stuff, is it ok to lay it out or is it the step of saying, “yeah, Daddy has it all covered” and knowing in every fiber of me there is nothing I can choose better than Yes Daddy. Thank you for all you are, for all your love and care, for all your concern, for all your justice, for all your bounty and provision and abundance and love, love, love – joy, joy, joy, peace, peace, peace.
Psalm 27:13-14 I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
Beth (B) – Excited for you to unveil and show me Lord, your way. I want you first and only. Shift any pieces, places, thoughts, words, motives, relationships, anything Lord. I give you permission. I trust you. I know we are ok, better. Thank you, Lord. Today, Lord, eyes on you. That is my heart’s desire. What say you? What Lord? Listening…
God (G) – Ability is mine in every area. I am able and more than enough for you. No eye has seen no ear has heard for those who love me. (Loosely Isaiah 64:4) Wonder and awe – daily – watch for me with that expectancy and be open to wonder and awe greater than your imagination – trust the truth you know about me – I am good. I am kind. I love you. You are mine. All I do is good. I AM for you. The other side is radiant. It is time to watch and see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Yes, it is true – as confused as everyone has been in your training is as confused as they will be – even more so – in your reward. It will look so confusing to so many because they do not know who I am and they do not know who they are. A King and a King’s kid – overwhelming abundance that you will use for my glory – your ability to bless and bless and bless – the things we will do – amazing and it is not ever once on your shoulders – it is exactly the same in want as it is in plenty – you listen and do and you trust – and you listen and do and trust – the do isn’t effort, the do is choosing me – listen, choose me and trust – listen – choose me and trust –
B – Wow Lord. That is amazing. That is peace, joy, love, faith, mercy, grace, awe, wonder – Yes Lord! I AM ALL IN – where you go I go – whatever it looks like for always Lord, even in my heart palpation (feeling a little nervous as I agree) I say Yes. Listening – choosing and trusting you Lord – yes Lord.
G – You are now prepared for the judgment, the searing words, the jealous chatter, the revelation of who they think I am and the limits, the brokenness, the neediness, the wounds, the hurts – Your freedom in me is confounding and confusing now and yet – the truth is the truth is the truth – safe every time –
B -Yes Lord. This day – sitting in it with you. Thank you, Lord, for your way – thank you for your mercy, patience. Thank you for your love – show me your heart Lord – show me how to love your way, show me your glory Lord. Peace Lord – your peace – plenty for today. Thank you, Lord, –
G – Arise
B – Lord show me what that looks like for today. Thank you Lord for Arise.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10 However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him” (Isaiah 64:4) – but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
Philippians 2:13 For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
Isaiah 60:1-2 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.”
Isaiah 60:22 b “I am the Lord; in its time I will do this swiftly.”
