We each have unique ways that we speak with those we are intimate with whether they are spouses, children, friends, parents, grandparents or even extended family. We use special language and special names with those we love. And this perspective is where I am coming from.
With you, I am sharing my special relationship and personal language of intimacy with God. When talking to or about it, I use the name Holy Spirit. My familiar name omits “the” Holy Spirit just as I call Jesus and God by their names. Sometimes I call God “Daddy” as this is also a familiar expression for me.
In this “opening up” of my journals to you, I know there will be foreign seeming, unusual expressions. We (God and I) have repetitive expressions and scriptures we use with each other that have come to mean more than just the words themselves, but also act as reminders of previous conversations and shared experiences. He has shown me His faithfulness in many ways.
I have seen his care when I have had plenty and lack, joy and sorrow, ease and panic, clarity and confusion. He has proven himself faithful again and again. He has shown me Love in everything. I pray that you will enjoy my unique way of talking to and being with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit and that you may be encouraged to find your own way of talking to Him and being with Him, your own language and reminders and shared reassurances.
I pray you may grow into a relationship that is more dear and deep than you could have imagined. He longs for you. He is loving and faithful.
