The breeze is moving – some things are shuddering, rattling, briskly shaking, while others just rustle and sway. How like us this is? When Holy Spirit moves, some of us don’t budge, while others get swept up. Specifically, some of our parts won’t budge – want to hold on and not be shaken – while other parts want to get swept away. Lord, I want to move your way. I don’t want to stand when you want me swept away. I don’t want to be swept away when you want me to stand.
Standing is a call to arms as circumstances swirl – stand and not be shaken, stand on the Rock, do not be moved. And yet employing that in the Holy Spirit breeze is folly. I want to be limber, flexible, movable, when Holy Spirit blows. And little blow doesn’t mean little move. The Holy Spirit wind can move majorly without a storm. I want to be light (not heavy) when you call me to be light, able to move with just the soft rustle of the breeze.
Why do I try so hard to hang on and stand firm? What does it look like to lean or move? To trust more? To invite more? To relax and rest more? To realize again that you are my everything and you love me and it will all be Ok – better than ok – with you in charge and your way. I want your way Lord. Help me to sense Holy Spirit and respond easily without hindrance or resolve. Without feeling like I am getting blown off course or moved from a place. Help me know again that you are good and I can trust you in all things, in all areas, with all people, in all situations and circumstances for all the days of my life.
Show me your way again Lord. The simplicity of your solutions, the steadfastness of your nature, your resolute on purpose for your glory way that is full of vision and purpose and promise and hope and peace and love. Thank you Lord.
God (G) – Rest my sweet. It is enough – keep listening and lay this down – I have it – do not pick it up – let me carry it. You can and I will.
Beth (B) – Practically?
G – Today. Be still. Listen and watch. Love and care. Be careful and safe. Be rest and protection. Be still. My way is better and you have it – you are seeing it unfold. Allow Me in every place and watch and see what I am up to – it is more than enough. It is grand and majestic and vibrant and lovely. Watch and see.
Let the breeze blow through – things that need to get blown out are going – things are getting lifted and sifted – let it go – open up all the windows, doors, walls of your heart and let me do a cleaning – let’s restart with all the dust and debris lifted – let’s do this.
B – Yes Lord – whatever that looks like, I want your way.
G – Be still and watch and see. It is ok – as you see it, keep thanking me. Keep your eyes on Me. My way. My plan. My desires for you. It is safe to believe that this is better than any imagination, hope or dream you have ever had. Watch and see.
B – Yes Lord.
G – I am your proponent. Your advocate. Your Almighty Maker of Heaven and Earth. Nothing – no thing is too big or too little for me – you will see this again and again and again – watch closely with your 2020 vision to see all that transpires and it is not by perspiring – no work, striving, heavy lifting, sweating, grunting – this is my deal – my way – my yoke is easy my burden is light – this will make you laugh so hard you will hiccup – it is beyond your wildest imagination and it is icing on a cake of showcasing the ones I love – watch and see. Believe with me for the plenty that is your heart’s desire – you are the steward of my heart – you think of others before yourself. You are satisfied with your provision, blessings, needs met and you glorify me in your manner –
You are the one that puts oil on her face when fasting.
You are the one that is joy abounding in all circumstances.
You are the one that loves, forgives, hopes and cares.
You are the one my heart is set on.
You.
B – Yes Lord – Thank you. It is too wonderful but I am choosing to believe because you say it is so. I Am says yes and I believe and have faith in you Lord. My one and only, my Daddy, my friend, the lover of my heart – you are my all in all. I stand and sit and snuggle in with you only.
