2 Corinthians 1:3-5 (TPT) All praises belong to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he is the Father of tender mercy and the God of endless comfort. He always comes alongside us to comfort us in every suffering so that we can come alongside those who are in any painful trial. We can bring them this same comfort that God has poured out upon us. And just as we experience the abundance of Christ’s own sufferings, even more of God’s comfort will cascade upon us through our union with Christ.
This is what happened in church Sunday with the young couple. I was able to speak truth from the deep knowing that the enemy is not creative and the claims that the circumstances are defining or exposing something about us is the lie I choose not to believe. Instead of sin or choices or something about us that people have opinions and judgment about, instead it is exposing the truth about the enemy. He is the one it defines. How uncreative he is that he uses the same old same old and that God knows we are his A-Team, SEAL team, special forces that are able with Him to stand and allow God to show in all His glory His magnificent creativity and believe you (God) have more unique, out of the box, incredible creative ways. To choose again to believe the truth that you trust us to be your kids with you and allow you to be fully known. And that we get to choose to partner with you and allow others to fully see you in your fullness, your full creative, wonderful, beautiful way. We are not ashamed. We fully know you and who we are in you.
And for the couple, to speak the truths from your heart, no harm to kids, unity in marriage, walking out the hard for Him and knowing He is good, and He loves you. It is beautiful. And that truth from the fully knowing place (having walked through it and not been seared by the fire) will be used again and again. Thank you, Lord. Thank you.
It is so amazing to be invited into that space with another. I love what you do and how you do it, Lord. I want that, whatever it looks like with you. I love that time with you encouraging, loving, declaring, Holy Spirit, it is my favorite. Thank you, Lord.
I want to see just how creative you are, fully, beyond what I have seen. I want to see more of you Lord. Thinking and listing all the awful circumstances that you have flipped upside down and made amazing. You know my heart and you know my longings, my hopes, my dreams, my life, my all and you love me deeply and love what and who I love deeply, and you are more for me than I realize. Lord, you are amazing.
