Glory

Beth SageJune 27, 2024June 23, 2024

God (G) – Stand today in me, under the covering of my wing, in our place, in our search of beautiful together.

Beth (B) – Yes Lord.

G – Showcasing you, that is my very favorite to do.

B – Yes Lord, mine too.

Wow, that is it. You showcase for your glory and I showcase for your glory and you get all the glory and I get to have fun! Ha! (Realizing) That this is living, fully, fully, fully, redeemed, restored, and revealed in you and it doesn’t matter what others think, see, hear, feel, because you are the only truth, the only truth. Your judgment, view, opinion is the only solid ground, your truth. So yes Lord, I AM all in, whatever all this looks like. I will not be shaken, because of you, because you are my solid ground. So, there it is. Show me your glory.

G – It is well. Keep loving, keep honoring, keep respecting, keep loving, keep forgiving, it is my way, the only way. It makes no sense in the natural, but it makes all the sense in the world to me. Hurt needs love. Hurt repels love. But love always wins, always. Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

(TPT) Love is large and incredibly patient (Footnote: “Love patiently endures mistreatment” could mean that love is incredibly patient even in difficult relationships. The Aramaic can be translated “Love transforms the spirit.”) Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance. Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated (Footnote: Or “overly sensitive” [having sharp edges].) or quick to take offense. Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong. Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up. Love never stops loving.

B – Oh Lord make my edges smooth.
